COOK is a small, made-from-scratch, Korean-influenced eatery in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood of St. Paul.
Commonly called out as one of the best brunch locations in the Twin Cities, COOK serves up a new take on fan favorites like short ribs eggs benedict, Korean pancakes, curry carrot cake muffins, bi bim bop, and breakfast nachos, mac and chi.
As for beverages, try the “Eddie Wu.” Named for the owner, the pretty concoction has house-made lemonade blended with Grey Duck chai.
When it comes to atmosphere, the small, industrial space is nothing short of inviting, adding personality to the main room by lining a wall with photo-booth strip displays of children’s color-crayoned artwork.
It also gives a nod to Serlin’s Cafe, the diner that lived in his restaurant’s space from the 1930s.
Quick note…
If you are making the trek, it gets really busy so you should expect a wait, but still totally worth a stop!
