Starting in Ashby and proclaiming themselves to be the smallest brewery in Minnesota, they offer rotating brews, indoor and outdoor seating, delicious, Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza, and live music.
I picked through ABC’s staple beers include Triple-A, Cashed Out, Norwegian Blonde, Autumnal Greetings, and landed on Runestone Man.
For those looking for non-alcoholic options, they have 1919 root beer, a personal favorite of mine.
After deciding on the garlic and cheese pizza, I settled into the patio to take in the outdoor games and catch local musician, Darren Quam live. Worth it.
There is another reason to check out the place, the collector pieces throughout.
Classic cars out front, a 1947 Indian Chief motorcycle inside, and walls lined with old pictures of historic breweries, paying homage to the area’s small-town heritage.
As someone who looks for every opportunity to share Minnesota’s history, this was certainly an added perk. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in.
