Bar La Grassa has been a mainstay in the North Loop off Washington Avenue since 2005.
Lead by James Beard Award-winning chef Isaac Becker, BLG features a variety of classic and inventive Italian pasta dishes (fresh, filled, or dry) small plates with bold flavors, and wines.
We made sure to try the ricotta with picked tomato bruschetta and Foccacia with bean, Fettuccine Alfredo with peas, and pappardelle veal ragu with a healthy dose of Parmesan.
The warm and inviting atmosphere includes dark wood, amber chandeliers, and views of the bustling, open kitchen.
Side note; since they are only open for dinner and are located in the very busy Warehouse District, I recommend valet instead of trying to find parking.
Fun fact; BLG is owned by the same group that brought you 112 Eatery and Snack Bar, the newest of their eateries.
