The Great Minnesota Get Together came to a close on Monday. Another year, another 12 days of deep fried, chocolate-dipped, stacked high, served on a stick, roasted, on a bun, in a cone foods and festivities. Luckily, I was there to see it all. I even spent some time with WCCO Radio on the final day of the fair! You can hear a fun, quick recap here. This year was one for the history books, breaking the total attendance record with 1,943,719 people. Yeesh, that’s a lot! Of course, I had to spend my last night seeing the sunset from the SkyGlider and the infamous catch-all that is the metal roof of the Kemps Little Farm Hands building. Full of things like hair ties, money, spilled-almost-painted-on ice cream, won stuffed animals, food remnants, under garments and even a plunger – seriously! I hope you had as much fun as I did! I need a few days to come out of this sugar-induced, alcohol-infused coma, how about you?
