Tuesday March 8th, 5-8pm (but I’ll be there 5-7!)
Remember hearing about Welcome Hat a few times over the last few months? Well, that time has come again and Minnesotan newcomers are invited to another one-of-a-kind Welcome Hat ceremony!
On the first Tuesday of each month, the Minnesota History Center hosts a series of free Welcome Hat ceremonies to jumpstart newcomer and returnee inclusion to the Saint Paul community through the gift of a warm faux-fur-lined hat and a showcase of the city’s resources! Already attended a Welcome Hat? Bring a friend to this one!
Organized by Saint Paul Hello, a partnership that celebrates and connects newcomers to the city of Saint Paul and the state of Minnesota, Welcome Hat ceremonies feature live local music, a showcase of valuable community resources, grab a drink and sample some food from local restaurants and breweries, celebrity hat presenters, sport team mascots, Paul Bunyan and more!!
Welcome Hat events are free, family-friendly, and open to everyone; Newcomers and returnees to Saint Paul (who’ve made the move within the last year or so) are invited to register online at to receive their Welcome Hat.
To make sure you feel like an official member of the state but still know someone there, I will be there to come talk to, hang out by and laugh with.
