George and the Dragon

Photo Jul 09, 10 47 39 AMLast night, Alyse and I bucket listed George and the Dragon. It was on my mnbucketlist and hers. She has one too, how great is that?! Kindred spirit, probably. Back to Georges, as many of you know, I love anywhere that has a lived-in atmosphere, incredible comfort food with versatility and engaging, friendly, affable staff. This place (on the eastern edge of the Lynnhurst neighborhood) is just that, notably the best service I’ve ever had. Since I’m a sucker for good conversations with friends and places that exude a sense of community – it was the perfect stop. Also, I’m a bit of a rebel when it comes to food (Alyse, too), sooooo we ordered five (yes, a whole handful) of appetizers, entrees AND cookies. We tried battered green beans, fried pickles, pretzel bread, chilled asparagus and lumpia (I didn’t even know what that was) and even the Asian hangover. I can’t recommend this place enough!
