Scooter’s Coffee

Food & Drink / Sunday, November 6th, 2022

If you’ve followed for long you know that on any road trip, I look for coffee, comfort food, and sunsets. The annual October trip down to the Minnesota Governor’s Pheasant Hunting Opener is no different. Since it’s always in late October, I look for coffee first to stay warm.

Enter, Scooter’s Coffee in Worthington. The drive-thru franchise was founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles in Nebraska though have made their way to southern Minnesota. You can find this one in the Schwalbach Ace Hardware parking lot. It is owned and operated by Robb Steffes and Josh Morris who also owns a location in Fairmont, Minnesota.

Though they are famous for their Caramelicious drink and canned lattes, I opted for hot apple cider, my go-to on fall hunting days. Scooter’s also has fruit smoothies, Red Bull Infusions, Cold Brew, baked-from-scratch pastries, and breakfast options.

If you find yourself in the area, hunting or otherwise, I highly recommend it!
