Brewed Awakenings is a busy, quirky, colorful coffee shop and eatery, specializing in organic, farm-to-plate foods, and Fair Trade coffee.

Initially launched as a small coffee cart located in a cooperative grocery store in 1996, they are now in a brick-and-mortar location off 4th street in Grand Rapids.

Think comfortable, relaxed atmosphere with an artsy vibe.

So much so that even the restrooms have beautiful mosaics using broken cups, plates, and even a ceramic chicken!

They have sweet and savory options like breakfast muffins and scones, homemade soups, hot and cold sandwiches, and a multitude of other healthy options including Great Harvest bread.

Whether you’re grabbing an espresso, sinking into a cup of apple cider, or going for something sweeter like gingersnap cookies, gelato, or tiramisu, Brewed Awakenings is a great stop.
