Interchange

For the past few years, I have been lucky enough to be part of the Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener. It is always a blast to check out the lesser explored parts of Minnesota and, this year, follow Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan as they competed with one another to hook the biggest fish (hint, Flanagan stole the show!). I took all of your suggestions and over the next few weeks, I will be showcasing all of the fun I had at the #MNGFO2019 in the Albert Lea Area. Come along while I explore parks and outdoor activities, a few coffee shops and cafes, a late night pizza joint, a big, interactive history museum, wine and burgers, the infamous SPAM museum, a community picnic and of course, fishing.

First up, The Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro off Broadway in downtown Albert Lea.

Fantastic service and great atmosphere, I cannot speak highly enough about this place.

I especially loved the California Breeze sandwich. Fresh, light, and great for a quick bite.

They also have a tremendous assortment of coffee drinks.

Fun fact, Interchanged is housed in the former Prairie Wind Coffee space. Have you been here? Do you have a favorite local coffee hangout?

  1. 🙂 Luv Minnesota but there’s no fish near Albert Lee unless the DNR stocked some crappies there instead of taking care of the lakes up north where the industry is 🙁 ❗️❗️❗️
