Are you new to Saint Paul? Know someone that is? Well, tomorrow, December 1st from 5 to 7:30 p.m., I will be at the Minnesota History Center for the Welcome Hat ceremony – an event organized by Saint Paul Hello, celebrating and connecting newcomers to Saint Paul and Minnesota. This event happens the first Tuesday of each month and you can expect to see over 25 community organizations, along with food and beverage samples from local restaurants and breweries, a scavenger hunt around the museum to collect “pro tips” from Minnesotans, and, of course, a warm winter hat. Yep, you read that right. A free Elmer Fudd, earflap faux fur hat (as long as you register). This Welcome Hat Ceremony is also part of the CULTURE Hip Hop Showcase and will have live performances by Tall Paul and DJ SoSupreme with BBoy J Sun. It’s free, family-friendly, and open to everyone; newcomers and returnees to Saint Paul.
Oh, did I mention that I’ll even have a table there?! To make sure you feel like an official member of the community but still know someone there, I’ll be right there – come chat with me. Learn about the Minnesota Bucket List and how you can get even more immersed in the social community with #Minnstameets. I’ll even have 25 Things you should do this December, straight from my own #MNBucketList! (I never let anyone see my list! Eeek!).
