More often than not, when you go on a road trip with me, you can expect to stop at least a dozen times – more if I’m hungry and it’s nice out. Luckily for this next #MNBucketList stop, both were true. Just off Hwy 61 in Wyoming (yes, that’s in Minnesota), The Nesting Grounds Coffee Shop sits just off the typical tourist route. It’s locally owned and serves tons of soups, sandwiches, and baked goods. Since they have a drive-thru, you may miss all the cool things inside. While they do have the normal coffee shop line-up like coffees, lattes, espressos, cappuccino and their own ‘freeze drinks’- I can personally vouch for the Turtle Swirl Freeze, Nesting also hosts what you’d call an ‘artist collective.’ All over the walls and tables, you’ll find locally made artisan goods and handcrafted décor, making the place even more lived-in. Give it 15 minutes and you’ll feel right at home. If you’re on your way from or to Duluth, I highly recommend checking this place out.
