TedxMinneapolis

Last night was TedxMinneapolis: The Brink at the Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts – which I can now cross of the #mnbucketlist. It was centered on the idea of Brink.

“We must collectively take a moment to think on the brinks all around us, and either view them as constraints, emergent possibilities, or as warnings to change direction. Together we will ask: what must we do?”

Speakers included Eric Dayton (Askov Finlayson, The Bachelor Farmer, and Marvel Bar on Minnesota’s identity crisis), Vednita Carter (Breaking Free on sexual exploitation), Sherman Patterson (Community Engagement Coordinator at Minneapolis Police Department on Gun Control), George Vasmatzis (the Mayo Clinic on the Human Genome Project), David Horner (U of M on City Planning and the changes we need to make) and Michelle Hensley (Ten Thousand Things on performance art for the masses). There was so much more, I could go on and on.
