During the Minnesota Governor’s Pheasant Hunting Opener, I was able to attend the SMSU High School Trap Shoot Challenge at Shooters Sporting Clay. After, we were able to traverse the course. Shooters Sporting Clays, Inc. is a family-friendly, year-round gun range in Redwood County, Minnesota. They have a heated, indoor 5-stand facility is designed for the colder weather of Minnesota, with a clubhouse where shooters can kick back and relax. Shooting is often associated with protection or hunting, but it has also long been a stress-relieving, recreational activity.
Whether you are a marksman or a novice, you can take part in the experience. The sport is designed to simulate live quarry shooting, where the fluorescent orange clay targets are projected airborne and on the ground (rolling), which you can see in some of the pictures.

I spent my time tagging along with the Wounded Warriors Guide Service. They were nice enough to let me follow them around with a camera while they tried their hands at taking down the argil discs. Established in 2009, WWGS provides outdoor recreational activities for disabled veterans of the United States Armed Forces. They also offer year-round adventures that include fishing , large and small game hunting, long range shooting, backpacking/camping, and others. As you can see, we all had a blast!
