Boasting the reigning title of the “Halloween Capital of the World,” Anoka was one of the first cities in the United States to put on a Halloween celebration. It just so happens to be my sister Heather’s favorite place to celebrate this frightful and delightful holiday. From the window painting and costume contests to the elaborate parades, the entire town gets involved in the fun. Riddled with documented accounts of ghost sightings, paranormal activity and hushed history, this is where Heather and I will be taking you for the long, eerie weekend [cue scary noises].

Nice! I’m thinking of heading up there tomorrow evening to check it out myself!
