My absolute, most-favorite event of the year is the Union Depot’s Annual Holiday Bake Sale.
Hosting the top Twin Cities bakeries for 6 years in a row in the Union Depot’s gorgeous Waiting Room, it certainly doesn’t disappoint!
More than just a bake sale, it includes all kinds of events like baking and cooking demonstrations, radio talk show host guest appearance, workshops, cake walks, and musical performances.
Every year I buy so many baked goods that I can barely hold my camera!
This year was a little different as the event was free AND you could ride Metro Transit for a free ride to the Depot!
Of course, I wouldn’t leave without purchasing the Holiday Bake Sale themed treat boxes for their pack of recipes from a handful of vendors like The Buttered Tin’s Pistachio-Cranberry Ice Box Cookies, Bread Art’s Salted Caramel Apple Pie Bars, and Mademoiselle Miel’s Honey Mallows.
Featured Bakeries and Vendors: North Mallow, Heavenly Treats, Potter’s Pasties,
Curly Girlz Candy, Nikkolette’s Macarons, Cookie Cart,
T-Rex Cookie Company, Sarah Jane’s Bakery, The Buttered Tin (where I always get the best cupcakes)
,Groundswell Midway (I always stop and get their ugly sweater cookies!), Groveland Confections,
ALMA, MinneCookies, The Sweet Retreat, Mademoiselle Miel,
Germanic American Institute, Antoinette’s Little Bakeshop, Amy’s classic Confections,
Nothing Bundt Cakes, Grandma’s Gourmets,
Panache, Blue Heron Soap Company,
Wild Country Maple Products, and Vom Fass.
Check out past years here: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 AND 2017. I HIGHLY recommend adding the Bake Sale to your yearly holiday traditions.
