Anchor Fish and Chips is a traditional pub grub in Northeast, Minneapolis. You may have seen the food truck at different festivals and events around the Twin Cities.
Their brick-and-mortar establishment is a local favorite hole-in-the-wall. It is just down the street from Dangerous Man and Sleepy V’s donut shop. Anchor is a hidden gem that serves up traditional Irish food including fish and chips, pasties, poutine, chippies, mushy peas, curry fries, rashers, Shepherd’s pie and a full Irish breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, complete with beans and a grilled tomato.
The portions are quite large and the seating can be tight so be prepared to get cozy with your neighbors.
