Moxie Java

Next on September’s caffeine-filled adventure: Moxie Java.

So here’s the thing, they didn’t start in Minnesota. MV actually started in 1988, in Boise, Idaho. The coffeehouse has become so popular, it franchised and stretches to North Dakota, South Carolina and now Minnesota with its Moorhead location. Founded by John Roberts and Chris Minion, Moxie Java nabs a place on my #mnbucketlist for a very specific reason. Just past the fireplace hangs a huge painting of Paul Bunyan and Babe the beautiful Blue Ox, sharing a Moxaccino (their signature drink), I can’t lie, it’s fine-looking. My love for PB runs deep, yo. That’s not the only reason I love Moxie, though. A neighborhood coffee house at heart, the place offers something for espresso-lovers, house blend aficionados, mocha experts, tea connoisseurs, cocoa mavens and even non-caffeinated savants. Tell me that doesn’t make you want to stop in…
