Up next on the #mnbucketlist is the first woman-owned and -brewed microbrewery in Minnesota. Yep. its true, Urban Growler was founded in 2013 by Deb Loch and Jill Pavlak. They make beers like Kölsch, CowBell, Rhubarb Wit, Big Boot and even have a “plow to pint” series that takes their signature beers with a local twist; using add-ins like Minnesota wild rice, honey, raspberries, and pumpkins. Another fun thing, they will add a ‘bump’ of cold press coffee in any beer you ask them to. I am not usually one to jump on a beer flight to UG was perfect for me as they are also a restaurant that carries nachos, quesadillas, fries, Cubano’s, Reuben’s, BLT’s, salads and even desserts! Oh, and I ran into a few friends when I was there!
