Great Lakes Aquarium

Great Lakes AquariumI’ve been fairly preoccupied with #photos lately BUT that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on the bucket list in between! Up next; the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth. I initially wanted to go to see the Isle Royale, a two story fish tank that gives a window into Lake Superior (and all the Great Lakes, since it was too cold to go to any kind of glass boat. Although the aviary is closed, they have a lot of cool things, especially for kids. Their current, big exhibit is Shipwrecks Alive! It showcases sunken ships and what happens to them. Which, I for one, think is really awesome. You’ll also see beautiful tropical fish, the history of the Great Lakes Basin, invasive species and a great view of Canal Park, the Lake Walk and the Ariel Lift Bridge. Doesn’t get much better than that.
